Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings add U.S tour dates

In terms of starting the year off on the right foot, performing with Prince at Madison Square Garden has to rank pretty high on the list. That’s how throwback soul group Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings kicked things off for 2011 and they show no signs of slowing down. The band just added a slew of new U.S. tour dates that will be sure to keep attendees dancing through the spring.

After finishing the remaining dates on their current us leg, the band will take a month-long break before making their way south. Notable stops include a March 12th show in Jones’ hometown of Augusta, Georgia and an appearance at the Savannah Music Festival on March 22th. Along with the newly announced trek, Jones and Co. are also set to make appearances at the Wanee Music Festival on April 15th and the Wakarusa Music Festival on June 3rd. Find all confirmed dates below.

Opening for the Dap Kings for the first seven concerts will be one of their fellow labelmates, Brooklyn soul singer Charles Bradley. Tickets are currently on sale.
