Wanda Jackson & Jack White announce second L.A. date, late night appearances

Wanda Jackson might be 73 years old, but she still isn’t ready to go the David Bowie route. In support of the January 25th release of her latest studio album, The Party Ain’t Over, the Queen of Rockabilly has just added more 2011 tour dates to her upcoming calendar.

The trek will feature three dates with the Third Man House Band, featuring the album’s producer, Mr. Jack White, on guitar. Along with two sold out shows in New York and Los Angeles, Jackson and White have added a second night at Los Angeles’s El Rey Theatre on January 24th. They’ll also appear together on The Late Show with David Letterman on January 20th and Conan on January 25th. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see a Dylan cover or two.

After a two-week tour of Europe, Jackson will return stateside and go out on her own starting February 22nd in Philadelphia. A complete list of her confirmed tour dates can be found below.
