Regardless of how you perceive Katy Perry, two things are undeniable: she drops bombdiggity pop hits and has an eye for talent. Along with her marriage to funny guy Russell Brand and forthcoming tour with Robyn, the pop superstar’s latest collaborative conquest comes in the form of a new single featuring the one and only Kanye West. (Author’s note: this is totally like the greatest thing ever!)
In continued support of her sophomore LP, Teenage Dream, Perry has released “E.T.” as the fourth single. Rather, a Kanye-featuring remix of “E.T.” as the fourth single. The reworking hears Ye hold down the front and back ends of the track, with Perry’s intergalactic tale (it’s really about “hot aliens”) providing the bridge. Perry and West also teamed up with acclaimed director Floria Sigismondi (David Bowie, Björk) for a music video, which is also expected to drop sometime today. So stay tuned, because it’s only going to get better!
