If there was any doubt Conor Oberst would go full Bright Eyes once he renewed his acclaimed moniker for its first studio album since 2007’s Cassadaga, then just watch last night’s performance on Letterman. In support of the newly available The People’s Key, Oberst brought back his emo hair locks and angsty facial expressions. Plus, his skinny jeans were complemented with a diamond patterned dress shirt. As for the music, Oberst and co. ripped through a rousing edition of “Jejune Stars, a track which is among the many highlights off Bright Eyes’ increasingly under-appreciated seventh album.
