Seemingly a gimmicky flash in the pan, Odd Future was written off from having any hope of a legitimate career from day one. But as they did with their upcoming Late Night with Jimmy Fallon appearance, the group’s de facto head, Tyler, the Creator, has turned the hype into positive career growth by signing a one-album deal with XL Recordings, reports Pitchfork. The label, home to acts like Vampire Weekend, RJD2, M.I.A., Adele, and more, will release his next album, Goblin, sometime in April. The first single, “Yonkers”, is now available on iTunes (or watch the clip for it here). As always, stay tuned for more info on the LP as it’s announced.
