Here’s to Taking It Easy, the 5th LP from the Matthew Houke-fronted Phosphorescent, was a gem, is a gem, will be a gem for years to come. Houke found his stride and wrote with grace and heart, producing one of the best albums of the year. We caught him playing those songs and more on the road last summer, and now after a brief winter hiatus, Phosphorescent will hit the road again this spring.
While no opener is announced yet, Houke will hit up the usual U.S. haunts in April, including Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festival, before traveling to Europe in May to play the Primavera Sound. The press release says that we should “expect more summer festival announcements coming soon,” so stay tuned for more.
