The Decemberists have announced a second leg of U.S. tour dates in support of their #1 album, The King Is Dead. Following the currently first leg and a trip to Europe, Colin Meloy and co. will return to the states in mid-April. The University of Colorado gets first dibs on the 16th, with the band then spending the next two weeks circling the midwest. After an April 30th performance in Austin, The Decemberists will play the New Orleans Jazz Festivall and then Atlanta before taking a month breather ahead of their next confirmed performance at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington.
Justin Townes Earle will serve as support on most the newly announced dates. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning February 11th, with a limited pre-sale now underway.
