You may have already seen this sensational video floating around the internet earlier last year, if not, be warned it is truly NSFW. Though it doesn’t feature anything directly explicit, “Super Gum”is made from re-edited footage of an actual porno featuring a really sad-looking female E.T. (yes, that E.T.) inexplicably visiting the 19th century for a romp with some sexy gentlemen and ladies. In a pop art sense this video makes its case very clear, but it makes you wonder – perhaps the original film was also a conscious work of pop art – it just happened to be distributed via the pornographic home video industry. How else can you explain an “erotic” mash-up of E.T. and the Star Trek: TNG episode “Time’s Arrow”? Discuss.
