Watch: Beat Connection take it to the “Silver Screen” (Cluster 1 Premiere)

If this morning finds your ears a bit fatigued as a result of a weekend’s worth of incessant, careful examination of Radiohead’s King Of Limbs, then Seattle, Wash.-based electro-pop outfit Beat Connection have a little something to stimulate your eyeballs instead. Just head over to our video channel – Cluster1 – where we’re premiering a clip for “Silver Screen” from their upcoming “mini-album,” Surf Noir.

The four-and-a-half minute video finds the fresh-faced Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Jeunger clad in some sweet vintage basketball jackets and wandering through the forest before singing “..she holds my hand and says ‘Follow my lead’.” And what a journey it is. The Dumb Eyes-produced effort is a smorgasbord of kaleidoscopic images that swirl across the screen as if you were some kind of Sesame Street acid trip. The tune itself is mellow enough to calm you down, but you’ll still be left feeling like you just tripped balls with Oscar the grouch. The boys have were also kind enough to give you Young Montana’s glitch-hopped remix of the track as a free download below.

Surf Noir comes out on April 12th via Tender Age/Moshi Moshi, and “Silver Screen” gets the single release treatment next Tuesday. Below, you can find the aforementioned remix, as wel as all of Beat Connection’s confirmed tour dates.

Also, be sure to follow Cluster1 on Twitter and Facebook to ensure that you’re the first to hear about exclusive premieres.
