Yelle aren’t strangers to lengthy world tours, but the French trio better be prepared to bring it on an entirely new level for 2011. The difference — Katy Perry. Before Mrs. Perry-Brand hits the states with Robyn, Yelle will act as support during her upcoming California Dreams tour in the UK. Instead of performing in front of maybe 1,000 fans in a sultry club, they’ll be delivering their off-the-wall electro-pop to sold-out arenas.
After California dreamin’ across Europe, Yelle will arrive at Indio’s desert April 17th for the sold-out Coachella. The North American tour then becomes more intimate as it stretches across the southern U.S., with three stops in Texas, and onto the East Coast with performances in D.C., Boston, and New York City. The trio will also find some fans that can correctly sing-along with shows in Quebec City and Montreal. After leaving French speaking Canada behind, the tour travels through the Midwest before concluding with four final shows in Cali.
