If you’re into the whole dirty, sticky, sexy rock ‘n’ roll thing, it doesn’t get any ballsier than LA’s Le Butcherettes. Fronted by Teri Gender Bender, who recently moved from Guadalajara, Mexico to the land of broken dreams (or, the City of Angels, if you’re a tad more positive), this raucous garage rock duo-turned-quartet has a lot going for them. For one, they have fans in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Dead Weather, they recently splintered the wood at Austin’s Peckerheads during SXSW, and their forthcoming full-length debut, Sin Sin Sin, was produced by now-legendary prog rocker Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. It’s due out May 10th (via Sargent House), in case you were wondering.

To hold you over, though, we have an exclusive MP3. It’s a live cut, stripped from their time down in Austin, TX. Now, this isn’t from our Axis of Audio event, where Teri Gender Bender (TGB, okay?) nearly lost her head in a ceiling fan, but it’s packing just as much volume. “The Devil Lived” doesn’t do much in highlighting the band’s attributes. What it does do, however, is give you a hint at the range this band’s lead singer, the all intense TGB, has. She’s dangerous. No, really, she is. Don’t be fooled by this stream. She may sound sultry, coo in a fascinating and sexy way, but beware…she’ll bite your head off, man. That’s just not good for anyone, but it is for a lil’ thing called rock…and…roll.
