Still listening to Eddie Vedder‘s recent ukulele-inspired single, “Longing to Belong”? Well, here’s another basket of good news for you: He’s going on tour! Yes, starting June 15th, the celebrated Pearl Jam frontman will hit the road solo once again.

All in support of his forthcoming solo effort, Ukulele Songs, due out May 31st, Vedder will hit all the major markets across the nation. As of now, the trek starts in Rhode Island, continuing throughout New England, before he jettisons through the Midwest, and onto his beloved West coast. Fans should expect the shaggy songwriter to perform most of his new record, in addition to his 2007 material from Into the Wild, and, naturally, select cuts from both his past film work (I Am Sam) and Pearl Jam. The Swell Season’s/The Frames’ Glen Hansard joins Vedder on the road, too. If you’re a Ten Club member, pre-sales start March 29th and 30th, but save up, as they’re likely to cost you $150-162 a pair.

If you can’t make it to any of the dates, don’t forget about Water on the Road. Directed by Brendan Canty of Fugazi and Christoph Green, this live concert/documentary will highlight performances from Vedder’s August 16th and 17th 2008 solo tour engagements at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre. Some other goodies – in the age of Netflix, does anyone still remember special features? -  include a live performance of “You’re True” from Ukulele Songs along with a trail mix of Pearl Jam cuts, a few covers, and songs from Into the Wild. If you recall, Consequence of Sound hit up a show on this tour…and was quite fond of it.

Toss this in with Pearl Jam’s upcoming reissues, that prospective Labor Day Festival, and the Cameron Crowe-directed documentary and you could say Vedder has a hell of a year mapped out already. You could say.

Ukulele Songs hits streets May 31st.
