Fun Fun Fun Fest moves to Auditorium Shores

Change isn’t always a good thing (who likes moving, getting dumped, or getting dressed in the morning?), but in the case of recent developments for the Austin, TX-based Fun Fun Fun Fest, change is a very good thing. The annual music festival will has opted to relocate from the 10,000-capacity Waterloo Park to the 20,000-capacity Auditorium Shores, reports Austin360.com.

The 2011 festivities, which go down November 5th-6th, will include additional comedic acts, more local vendors, and maybe even a farmer’s market, according to festival producers Transmission Entertainment. The move, as one might be able to discern, also frees up promoters to grow the festival along with getting the festivities away from Waller Creek Tunnel project, which may start construction sometime this year.

The festival’s 2011 lineup has yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for additional updates. Past acts have included Descendents, The National, Spoon, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, MGMT, of Montreal, Cat Power, Okkervil River, The New Pornographers, and Circle Jerks, among others.
