Exactly one week after metal’s Big Four played their first-ever U.S. show together, they’ve scheduled another. According to BrooklynVegan, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax will come together once more for a September 14th performance at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, NY. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 6th at 10:00 AM EDT via Ticketmaster. A pre-sale will also be available for members of the Met Club.
Though the four outfits have played a series of shows together throughout Europe, last weekend’s performance at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, CA marked their first U.S. performance. When asked last why the Big 4 had chosen to schedule just one U.S. show, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich said, “If there is enough demand for it, obviously theres a very strong possibility that therell be more shows, but we dont wanna overextend the welcome and we also dont wanna turn it into something that becomes this whole nostalgia trip thats gonna sort of be, Okay, now its just gonna be this for the next few years, and Celebrate the past. So its a balancing act, you know.”
