Following The Black Keys and Modest Mouse, our third preview from the forthcoming Buddy Holly tribute album Rave On Buddy Holly comes in the form of Julian Casablancas’ take on the title track. Originally written by Sonny West, Bill Tilghman, and Norman Petty in 1958, Holly’s version proved one of his final hits prior to his tragic death in 1959.
