The Get Up Kids – “Regent’s Court”

Pat Vamos’ video for The Get Up Kids’ “Regent’s Court” is a recompiled collection of found footage. From the formerly separate pieces, a small, strange plot developes into the excellent feature above. A young boy imagines what his life would be like he if could hang with Mikhail Gorbachev.  They go from a giant Sasquatch in a metropolis to a strip show at the Museum of History and Art to a baseball game. But the question remains- how does all this connect to Ronald Ragan’s attempted assassination?
