For fans of Cali’s instrumental hip-hop extraordinaire DJ Shadow, interesting collaborations are almost an expectation. That trend continues on DJ Shadow’s newest single “I’m Excited”, which features UK emcee Afrikan Boy. Catering to the Nigerian-born Afrikan Boy’s afrobeat verses, the track is considerably different than DJ Shadow’s recent releases “Def Surrounds Us” and “I Gotta Rokk“, which should make for a rather eclectic full length.
