Neon Indian Era Extra%C3%83%C2%B1a Neon Indian announces sophomore album: Era Extraña

Our first taste of Neon Indian’s sophomore LP came in the form of a 90-second teaser trailer last April. On September 13th, fans of the Alan Palomo-led chill wave project will be able to hear the rest of Era Extraña when it is released by Palomo’s personal imprint Static Tongues, via Mom + Pop Music.

According to Pitchfork, Palomo wrote, recorded, and self-produced the album last winter in Helsinki, Finland. Flaming Lips collaborator Dave Fridmann then mixed the effort and did post-production at his upstate New York studio.

A tracklist is still forthcoming, but titles include “Polish Girl”, “Future Sick”, “The Blindside Kiss”, and “Hex Girlfriend”, along with a three-part instrumental piece called “Heart: Attack” (which was previewed in the aforementioned teaser trailer), “Heart: Decay”, and “Heart: Release”.

Below, you can watch the teaser trailer plus the band performing a new song during their recent appearance at the Camp Bisco music festival. Further down the page is Neon Indian’s upcoming tour schedule, which includes a stop at Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival in September.
