Not so long ago, the only way you could make a film was with a Super 8 camera. Nowadays, all you need is a laptop. Having both in one video though? That will certainly help your arsenal. The War on Drugs enlisted Labour to direct this music video that combines Adam Granduciel’s collection of super 8 footage with a series of generated kaleidoscope images. Both are cut up and edited in strange ways that add an even more surreal touch to an already surreal situation.

“Baby Missiles” is available on Slave Ambient, due out August 16th on Secretly Canadian.

    Directed by: Labour
