With so many channels and so many options, television can almost seem overwhelming at times. Dozens of different worlds are pressed to each other side-by-side. Director Jason Baxter expressed the realities of the TV era for “Close Your Eyes.” The USF song plays along as multitudes of media pass by with only seconds of focus. Martial arts, horror films, cop shows, exercise videos, nature walks, and even some porn all make it on to the screen. Cut together in a haphazard fashion, the shows seen are entrances to a different universe. To get in, all you need is a click of the remote.
“Close Your Eyes” is from USF’s upcoming release, The Spray. The record is due to drop October 25th.
