One of the most used techniques in horror films is showing the audience something the character doesn’t notice. If the killer or monster is behind the protagonist without their knowledge, it heightens the tension of how he or she will escape. Dan Tice uses this method impeccably on Fops‘ music video for “Yellow Jacket Corpse.” Three strange figures stalk Dee Kelser as he goes about his daily life. They’re in his house, on the street, and throughout the forest. What are their plans for the group’s lead singer?

“Yellow Jacket Corpse” is from the band’s 2010 album, Yeth Yeth Yeth. If you want something newer, you can check out Fops’ new EP, For Centuries. It will be available as a download on September 5th through Monotreme Records and as a limited-edition cassette.

Directed by: Dan Tice
