Scattered Trees – “Sympathy”

Ancient Rome has a plethora of stories a director could carve out. The setting offers so many different themes and scenarios that it’s been used to great effect in nearly every medium of art. For Scattered Trees, J.M Harper paints out a soldier-gone-mad epic that delves into love, loss, and redemption. This arty film doesn’t seem to worry about being cash-conscious. Instead, it puts all its energy into the story it creates.

“Sympathy” is from the album of the same name, currently available through Roll Call Records/EMI.
