Sparta, the post-At the Drive-In project of singer/guitarist Jim Ward and drummer Tony Hajjar, has announced plans for their first show in three years. On November 17th, Ward and Hajjar, along with bassist Matt Miller and guitarist Keeley Davis, will play Ward’s newly renovated venue Tricky Falls in El Paso, TX.
An issued press release also confirms that the band will head into the studio this fall to begin work on their fourth LP, the follow-up to 2006’s Threes.
In the meantime, Ward is currently finishing up a solo tour behind his recently released solo debut, Quiet In The Valley, On The Shores The End Begins. You can find all his confirmed tour dates here, and there’s a video for the song “Broken Songs” posted below.
