Do you remember The Adventures of Pete & Pete? It was a groundbreaking young adult TV show on Nickelodeon that ran from 1993 to 1996. The show focused on two brothers both named Pete Wrigley and the interactions they had with the surrounding community of Wellsville. Many alt rock stars of the time were involved in the show, and many of today’s alt rockers have been inspired by it, as we see here. For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, Behn Fannin’s video for “Hey Sandy” will seem like a surreal assortment of images as Tera Melos rips through the song. If you do recall that show, prepare to get nostalgic. The video is a shot-for-shot recreation of the TV show’s opening title sequence covering the distinctive theme song by Mark Mulcahy’s fictional band, Polaris.
