Come November 22nd, Jeff Mangum will let forth a great flood of Neutral Milk Hotel music when he self-releases a career-encompassing vinyl-only box set. Ahead of this compendium’s grand debut, Mangum has already made available the previously-unreleased tracks “Oh Sister” / “Ferris Wheel on Fire”.
Now, an alternate version of “Engine”, recorded during the sessions for 1998’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, is also up for sampling here. Another (another) version of “Engine”, the version that serves as the B-side to “Holland, 1945”, can also be found on the box set.
