With an upcoming EP featuring Best Coast and Fucked Up, a profession of one’s love for Dave Grohl, and a late-night collabo with GZA, burned-out surf rockers Wavves have been pretty open about who they admire. Now, they’ve added another name to the collection: Sonic Youth. Taking to Twitter earlier this afternoon, frontman Nathan Williams paid proper homage to the noise icons by issuing his version of Sonic Youth’s “100%”, off 1992’s Dirty.
