Proving that Wavves have friends in high places (stoner joke!), the burned-out surf-rock trio tapped fellow punk-approved acts Best Coast and Fucked Up for their upcoming EP Life Sux. We’ve already heard the Best Coast-featuring “Nodding Off”, and now frontman Nathan Williams has posted the Fucked Up-aided hardcore anthem “Destroy” on his Ghost Ramp site. Williams’ laidback vocals may not match the power and raw, primal intensity of Fucked Up’s Damian Abraham, but together this sweet mixture of punk styles makes for the perfect track to break shit to. Teamwork really is neat-o!
Wavves and Fucked Up will be on tour together this fall, with dates for each act listed below. The Life Sux EP hits stores on September 20th via Ghost Ramp.
