Dan Deacon announces solo and Wham City comedy tour dates

Aside from being an eccentric electro composer, Dan Deacon also moonlights as a member of the Baltimore, MD art collective Wham City. This fall and winter, Deacon will be a busy boy as he splits his time between select solo shows and as a part of the “Wham City Comedy Tour 2011”.  Maybe his dynamite work ethic is why he and Francis Ford Coppola are artistic BFFs?

Deacon’s solo dates will be spread out between Wham City shows and extend into the end of this year. After hitting Hoboken tomorrow, Deacon will make appearances at both Fun Fun Fun Fest and Moogfest before coming to a close with four back-to-back West coast shows in early December.

When Deacon isn’t out on his own, Wham City will spend the end of October and the majority of November crisscrossing the U.S. Between club and theater shows, the outfit will have its own slots at Fun Fun Fun Fest and Moogfest, all before wrapping up on November 19th in the group’s hometown of Baltimore, MD. This effort is the troupe’s second national tour after last fall’s inaugural comedy outing.

Check out both itineraries below following a trailer for the tour, which only validates Deacon’s comedy is equally as bizarre as his music.
