Dave Matthews Band has rescheduled the New York City installment of its three-day music caravan. The festival was originally set to take place last weekend at Governors Island, but Hurricane Irene forced the cancellation of the final two days. The band has since rescheduled the entire shindig — even the one day that actually took place — for September 16-18 at Randall’s Island. Note the difference in islands.
Like the other caravan stops, DMB will headline all three nights. Also, the recently reunited Dispatch will play both Friday and Saturday. The rest of the lineup is still forthcoming, but given touring commitments and what not, we can presume a number of acts previously scheduled for the Governors Island festival will not be playing at Randall’s Island.
As for tickets, single day and 3-day GA tickets and VIP Packages to the canceled Dave Matthews Band Caravan at Governors Island will be valid for the corresponding dates at Randall’s Island. There will also be a public on-sale for non-ticketholders beginning Saturday, September 3rd at 10 am ET. Complete ticketing and refund information can be found on the festival’s website.
