Madonna plans to release her 12th studio album, and first since 2008’s Hard Candy, in Spring 2012. Announcing the news in an interview with Sweden’s Sveriges Television (via Billboard), the pop superstar added that she began working on the LP in July and will continue recording in “New York, until the end of the year.” The album’s lead single is due out in February or March.
Madonna didn’t reveal more much in the way of details, but Billboard reports that the album could see her reunited with Ray of Light co-producer William Orbit.
