Here’s something that will put all unemployed film grads on suicide watch. Los Angeles-bred hip-hop collective OFWGKTA now has their very own TV show. According to an issued press release, Adult Swim has picked up the group’s previously reported live action series, Loiter Squad, and will begin airing episodes in 2012. The press release also adds that the 15-minute show will feature “sketches, man on the street segments, pranks and music from Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The cast, featuring the Los Angeles collective of rappers, artists, and skateboarders, channel their multi-faceted creative talents in this off-the-wall showcase.” You know, the same creative talents that led to this:
Loiter Squad is being produced by Dickhouse Entertainment — the Hollywood production partnership of Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Spike Jonze who have been the creative power behind hits including Jackass, Nitro Circus, Rob & Big, and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. So that kind of explains it.
