How does Clap Your Hands Say Yeah celebrate their recent late-night redemption? Why have friend/director/German Pieter Dirkx direct a wacky video for “Maniac”! Perhaps it’s our lack of understanding regarding the nuances of German filmmaking or the fact that we never ate paint chips as children, but the video’s meaning in almost indecipherable. From what we can tell, a guy moves through the forest before having antlers strapped to his back and taking part in some ritual involving children, smoke bombs, and unidentifiable liquids.
