They may have lost the Mercury Prize to fellow UK resident PJ Harvey, but the duo of King Creosote and Jon Hopkins isn’t letting that damper their artist spirits. Scottish folker Creosote and English electronic producer Hopkins are set to release their Honest Words EP, a followup to their collaborative debut, on September 20th, and our video channel, Cluster 1, has the exclusive premiere of the first clip from the three-track effort.
“Bats In The Attic” was a track originally on Diamond Mine, but was reworked as “Bats In The Attic (Unravelled)” for the upcoming EP. The clip adds haunting images to the haunted tune. Layered stop-motion images of childhood float and twist through the air around a shrouded youth on his bicycle, all within the transparent confines of an attic.
