Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ music video for “If I Had A Gun…”, our latest taste from their upcoming S/T debut, is quite reminiscent of the 1967 film The Graduate (Liam Gallagher will probably claim his older bro just ripped ’em off). However, instead of Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft running way on a bus, a rugged cowboy rides in to interrupt the ceremony, leading to the handsome stranger and the bride sealing their love with a kiss in the deep end. Despite the cliché, what makes the video truly worth watching is one simple casting choice: Noel Gallagher plays the priest officiating the wedding. Now that’s some damn good fiction!
