Video: Wye Oak – “Holy Holy”

When Kidz Bop hit the scene, the series reworked how music would be distilled to children. No more lame songs about washing hands or how great sharing is; now kids get exposed to great pop music at a truly advantageous age. Baltimore, MD indie folk duo Wye Oak are continuing that overhaul with their video for “Holy Holy”. Band members Andy Stack and Jenn Wasner enjoy a sunny day at Coney Island by riding the swings and roller coasters to their own song, personally demonstrating the massive effect new, exciting tunes can have on that old recreational experience. They’re so excited, in fact, that Stack takes a walk into the ocean, presumably to never be seen again. Yay fun!

Wye Oak’s latest, Civilian, is out now.
