“Dance with the Devil”, a track from the Swedish rock group The Sounds’ latest album, Something To Die For, is a rollicking number with a slightly militant air to it. Moreover, its a cut where the band hope to transcend a simple good time and “Conquer our world with dance!” Such a lofty goal requires lots of support, something they’ve earned thanks to a remix by Americans/electro aficionados Innerpartysystem. Not only is the remix some three minutes longer, the hardened edge is gone, replaced with a warm, synth-y beat that repeatedly expands and contracts in a surge of over-the-top electro. With weapons like this, they just might win the war yet.
