Lana Del Rey the music blog sensation is now Lana Del Rey the major label artist. As Pitchfork points out, this week’s issue of Billboard magazine confirms that the New York City-based songstress, born Lizzy Grant, has signed with Interscope Records and will release her debut album in early 2012.
On her Facebook wall, Lana Del Rey recently revealed that her next single is titled “Born 2 Die” and she has teamed up with recent on stage collaborator Woodkid for the song’s video. Lana Del Rey wrote: “Shooting video for my next single Born 2 Die in a castle in France with Woodkid. I absolutely know that you will adore it. Am thinking of You. XXX LDR X.”
