As part of this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, Eminem and his Shady Records signees Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf cypher over the sounds of East Flatbush Project’s “Tried By 12”. Shot in crisp black and white, the whole nearly-nine minute clip feels rough and slightly bootleg – well, if you ignore the Sprite endorsements. Still, Yelawolf, Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9”, and Eminem put together one exclusively intimate clip for the awards show. Em hasn’t looked this laid back and natural in ages, revisiting his old underground days, and acting as if he hasn’t headlined half a dozen festivals in the past year.
