Video: Lykke Li covers "Unchained Melody"

    “Unchained Melody” (AKA the song from Ghost) has been done by a number of bands and individuals since it debuted in 1955. From the original version by The Righteous Brothers to covers by everyone from U2 to Roy Orbison, the emotional cut has some mileage on it. Doing her best to make the song her own, Swedish singer-songwriter Lykke Li stripped the song down to its very core during a recent Triple J radio session. Li’s cover is sparse and haunting, with the entire song left to live or die on the back of her pained vocals. And, like she’s done so many times before, she delivers through and through.
