Actor/comedian Russell Brand has done a lot of things in his life/career that have made some people upset, like the terrible reboot of Arthur or marrying Katy Perry. But Brand’s appearance in Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds music video for “AKA…What A Life!” is surely one of the better things he’s ever done. In this eight-minute clip, Brand plays a character that’s one part Morpheus, one part Crossroads Demon, musing on the duality of existence before forcing a sweet blue liquid down our poor heroine’s throat. But before his wicked machinations can occur, Brand curses Gallagaher’s name. And cue the bad trip/metaphysical journey that ends with Gallagher vanquishing brand’s harpies and rescuing the poor maiden. Enter the rabbit hole at your own speed below.
