Check Out: Keys N Krates – "Uncle Otis" (CoS Premiere)

Comprised of a champion turntablist (DJ Jr-Flo ), energetic keyboardist (Matisse), and heavy-hitting drummer (Adam Tune), Toronto’s Keys N Krates have quickly become a powerful live presence through a series of skillfully-crafted remixes. After adding their electro-hip-hop touch to the likes of Drake and Florence and the Machine, the collective is set to expand the breadth of their talents in KNK’s first release of original music, the Blackout EP.

The seven-track release skillfully showcases the band’s many influences, ranging from old school hip-hop to broken bass music. Now, CoS is premiering one of the effort’s standout tracks in “Uncle Otis”. A remix of the Kanye West/Jay-Z banger, “Uncle Otis” adds a woozy, distorted vibe to the track, stripping away the soulful swagger and replacing it with enough bass to fill your next three dance parties. Check it out below.
