Roger Waters brings The Wall back to North America

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters is not yet done touring behind the band’s 1979 classic album, The Wall. Already one of the highest grossing road trips in history, Waters has mapped our a second leg of North American tour dates for next summer. Kicking off in Houston on May 1st, the two-month trek also includes a series of outdoor stadium performances in San Francisco, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Venues have yet to be unveiled for dates scheduled in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City, but those are also rumored to be stadium shows (via Pollstar).

Tickets for all North American shows go on sale beginning November 14th at 10:00 AM local time. Below, you can find Waters’ complete tour schedule, which also includes trips to Australia and South America in the early part of 2012.

The production for the summer tour will again feature a 40-foot-wide by 35-foot wall between the audience and the stage itself that is slowly knocked down as the concert progresses. Musically, Waters will be accompanied by an eight-piece band and three backing vocalists.

For an even better taste of what to expect, check out Michael Roffman’s review of Waters’ September 2010 show in Chicago. Also, below, you can find footage of Waters reuniting with Pink Floyd bandmates David Gilmour and Nick Mason during a performance in London last May.

In addition to the tour dates, Waters has also announced the release of a new 6-CD/1-DVD version of The Wall, due for release on February 28th, 2012.
