Okkervil River‘s first music video for “Your Past Life as a Blast” featured home movies from frontman Will Sheff’s father, cut and edited together to explore life as a carefree youth. To further explore the retro concept of growing up, the band have revealed an alternate take with a second music video. Directed by Isaac Ravishankara, the latest clip uses a moment of youthful abandonment shot in a highly-stylized, almost literary fashion to explore the idea of how memories are formed. It’s less cute than a young Willie Sheff, but far more profound. Check it out below.
