Joining the likes of Nirvana and LL Cool J (now that’s company to keep), Irvine, CA indie rock group Young the Giant recently filmed their own episode of MTV’s Unplugged. In addition to cuts from their debut self-titled album, the setlist featured a cover of Gorillaz’s “Empire Ants. A fairly spot-on rendition, the band recreated the song’s layered, evocative nature within the confines of their own seemingly less-intricate sound.
