On April 24th, singer-songwriter/co-Raconteur Brendan Benson will release his fifth solo album, What Kind of World, via his newly-established imprint Readymade. Our first taste comes in the form of the Wings-ian “Bad For Me”. Kicking off with an orchestral intro, the song slowly transforms into a piano-powered ballad about a love you can’t resist (though totally should). The grand, sweeping approach sounds more bubbly and polished than some of Benson’s past work, but he maintains his folksy insight and wit amid the tickling of the ivories. Take a listen to the song below (via Stereogum). Just after that is Benson’s upcoming tour schedule.
