Consequence of Sound has presented its fair share of events in recent years, but they’ve always been restricted to certain regions of the country. That’s about to change. In a CoS first, we’ve teamed up with Modern Art Records for a nationwide tour featuring three of the label’s premiere acts: Miniature Tigers, Geographer, and The Chain Gang of 1974.
Kicking off March 1st, the trek will hit 25 cities across the U.S., including Austin for South by Southwest. Both Brooklyn’s Miniature Tigers and San Francisco’s Geographer will use the dates to showcase their new albums. As previously reported, Miniature Tigers will release their third LP, Mia Pharoh, on March 6th. Geographer’s Myth arrives on February 28th. As for Denver’s The Chain Gang 1974, they’ll be performing songs off last year’s Wayward Fire.
The tour’s complete schedule is posted below; SPEAK and Pretty & Nice will split the duty as tour openers. Pre-order ticket packages are available via Modern Art’s website and include instant downloads of “Female Doctor” by Miniature Tigers and “Life of Crime’ by Geographer, as well as a limited edition tour poster. The general on-sale begins January 23rd at Noon local time.
