    About The Kickback

A move from rural South Dakota to Chicago proved worthy for brothers Billy and Danny Yost. In late 2009, the two found solace in the Windy City, when they sparked up their own brand of rock ‘n’ roll with The Kickback. Joined by guitarist Tyler Zee and bassist Eamonn Donelly, the four quickly turned heads with their live performances that have been dubbed a “kamikaze in both aim and affect.” Although they’re still working on a full-length debut album (due out this summer), the band’s past two EPs – specifically 2010’s Great Self Love and 2011’s Mea Culpa Mea Culpa – garnered positive reviews from Rolling Stone’s Hype Monitor and Sound Opinion’s Jim Derogatis. Most recently, they’ve been named The Deli’s 2012 Editor’s Pick.
