Next week, School of Seven Bells release their third LP, Ghostory, and to drum up hype, they’ve issued a video for their first single, “Lafaye”. Directed by David Lowery and Toby Halbrooks, the clip follows singer Alejandra Deheza as she haunts the remnants of an abandoned home, allowing her bright spiritual aura to light up each room. “It was all ripped-out walls and exposed wiring – super-spooky and raw,” says Deheza, who digressed on the video to Rolling Stone. “I couldn’t have thought of a better setting for ‘Lafaye”s ghosts.” While it’s slightly eerie, the pulsing track keeps the ghouls at bay.
