All Tomorrow’s Parties has snagged itself yet another reunion. Joining the already-reunited Afghan Whigs at this year’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror” London music festival will be Washington, DC post-punk genre-benders The Make-Up.
Comprised of ex-Nation of Ulyssses members, The Make-Up disbanded in 2000 following the release of five studio albums. According to ATP’s website, the band reunited at the request of the festival for an exclusive UK performance. Below, check out video of the band performing on French TV.
Other new additions to the “I’ll Be Your Mirror” bill include Kool Keith’s Ultramagnetic MCs, who previously reunited for ATP’s New Jersey festival last fall, Tennis, Harvey Milk, The Soft Moon, Death Grips, Tall Firs, Sleepy Sun, and Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat.
As mentioned, the festival’s bill already included The Afghan Whigs, as well as Slayer (performing Reign in Blood), curators Mogwai, The Dirty Three, Chavez, Sleep, Codeine, Archers of Loaf, Yuck, Thee Oh Sees, and Wolves in the Throne Room among others.
ATP’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror” London runs May 25-27th at Alexandra Palace. Tickets to the festival are now available via ATP’s website.
