Youth isn’t always wasted on the young, as evidenced by Crooked Fingers‘ music video for “Our New Favorite”. In the clip, our precocious protagonist spends her time laying about the grass, squashing airplanes between her fingers. On a hike one day, she finds a box of torn-up photos, prompting her to put them back together like a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. In the end, she proudly displays the antique photos, demonstrating some obscure, literati-esque notion that there is purpose in being a kid/teen, even if it’s only to realize that one day you won’t always be so lucky. Watch the video below.
The band’s latest album, Breaks in the Armor, is out now via Merge Records.
